A. Loosen and remove the moldednut (2) byturning it counterclockwise. Use the suppliedmetal
bar (5) if necessary byinsertingit in oneof the holeson the moldednut (2).

B. Pull the bail/shaft (3) out of the wall bracket (4).

Slidethe moldednut (2) ontothe ball/shaft(3) with threadedopeningfacingthe ball,and
threadon the metalnut (1) all the wayontothe ball/shaft(3), with the nut's(1)"knurled"

D.Screwthe ball/shaft(3) into the threaded1/0-20 insert (6) on the backof thespeaker cabinet
until it isfully seated againstthe bottomof the insert.Backoutthe ball-shaftassembly o ne
half turn andtighten the nut againstthespeaker. If the ball andshaftassembly is notbacked
out beforetighteningthe nut, performingStepGbelowmaydislodge the threadedinsert in
the speaker h ousingandpermanentlydamage thespeaker.
E. Tightenthe"knurled"nut (I) usinga crescent w renchuntil it is firmly seated againstthe back
of the speaker a ndhasfully lockedthe ball/shaft(3) andthe speaker c abinettogether.Please
notethat oncethis nut istightened,it mayembedsomemarkson the backof thespeaker
wherethe attachmentiSmade.However, t hesemarkswill be covered bythe nut (I).
Thebackup cord(8) isprovidedasan additionalmeasure to preventthe fall of the speaker i n

casethespeaker b ecomes detached fromthe wall bracket.Oneof the two lowerscrews (9)
that attachthe wall bracket(4) to the wall will needto go throughtheeyelet(11)at theend
of the cordbeforegoingthroughthe wall-bracket h ole.Makesurethat the screwheadisat
least0.36" (approximately 3 /8") or largerin diametersothat it canproperlyhold the backup
cordeyelet(II).
G. Mountthewall bracket(4) onto a woodstudon the wall, using#10,minimum1",panhead
woodscrews. Make sure thatallfourscrews a redriven intothestud, n otdrywall.

If the bracketneeds to be mountedon drywall,the useof properlyselected andinstalledwall
anchors and screws is essential.

H. Holding t hespeaker cabinet (7)with bothhands, reinsert t heballportion oftheball/shaft ( 3)
into thewall bracket(4).
. Hand-tighten themolded nut(2)whilepositioning t hespeaker fortheintended o rientation.
Once the orientationof the speaker i sfinalized,usethe metalbar (5) in oneof theholeson

the moldednut (2) and tighten securely.
