SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Specific safety instructions
1. Should the product fall into water, unplug the power cable from the mains outlet. Do not reach
into the water before the product has been disconnected from the mains supply. Get the product
checked by an expert at this stage.
2. If you are using the product with your hand(s), then always make sure it is turned off for safety reasons.
3. The air outlet grill can become hot during operation. Make sure that the power cable does not
come into contact with the air outlet grill.
4. Never open the housing. Do not place any objects inside the air inlets and outlets.
5. Make sure that any objects such as hairpins or hair clips do not get inside the product. This may
cause a short circuit or damage to the product.
6. Allow the product to cool down completely before you remove or install any accessories.
7. Do not use sprays or water sprays in close proximity of the product.
8. Never cover the air inlet and outlet during use. Make sure that any hair does not come into contact
inside the air inlet and outlet.
9. Should the air inlet and outlet be covered during operation, then the built-in thermal protection will
automatically switch the product off. Pull the plug and allow the product to cool down completely
before setting it back in motion. Check to see whether the air inlet cover has become dirty, and
remove any debris such as hair or fluff.
10. Risk of burning! Parts of the product may become very hot during operation. Hold the product
therefore only with the handle.
11. Clean the product and all other accessories after each use.
12. Follow the instructions in the chapter Cleaning and care.
13. Do not coil the cord tightly around the housing.
Danger of suffocation! Keep all packaging material away from children.
Dispose of the packaging materials in an appropriate way. Contact your local authorities about waste
collection points.
