STAND-UP-PADDLE-BOARD (SUP) USER INFORMATION
This user information belongs to a stand-up paddle board of the brand Apollo (hereinafter only „SUP" or „Board"). It
contains important information on assembly and handling. Please keep this instruction manual for further use. If
you pass on the SUP to third parties, it is essential that you include this instruction manual.
WARNING: Read the instructions for use carefully, especially the warnings marked with a red warning
triangle, before using the SUP. Non-observance of this instruction manual can lead to danger to life,
injury or damage to the board.
This SUP is not designed for professional use.
You are responsible for your safety and the safety of the people around you.
Please read it carefully and familiarize yourself with the ISUP before using it.
IMPORTANT WARNINGS (DANGER TO LIFE AND INJURY)
- The SUP may only be used by people who can swim.
- The board is not a toy! It must not be used by children under 14 years of age and must not be given to them, nor must the
carrying bag, packaging and accessories.
- Wear a life jacket when you are on the water with the board.
- Always inform a contact person of your planned route and the time of your planned return if you wish to paddle outside
secured bathing areas before you start your trip.
- Never use the SUP if you are under the influence of medication, alcohol or drugs.
- Never overestimate your own abilities. Never paddle further than your muscle power allows for the return trip.
- Familiarize yourself with the water before use. Only paddle in coastal waters (maximum distance of 500ft)
- Never paddle in strong currents.
- Keep away from ships / shipping lanes, obstacles and rapids.
- Do not paddle in high waves or when the tide changes.
- Never use the SUP in offshore winds (wind blowing from land towards water)
or in the case of an offshore current (current that carries away from the shore). They can be drifted.
- Check with the local weather information office for current water and weather conditions before you go out on the water
and keep an eye on the weather situation. Never paddle in strong winds, thunderstorms and other storms. Leave the water
immediately when a thunderstorm is coming up.
- Familiarize yourself with local safety regulations, warnings and rules for boating activities before you go on the water.
- When paddling, make sure that the weight on the board is always evenly distributed.
- When paddling, make sure that your feet do not get caught in the attachment cord or handle.
- Do not use the board if it leaks and loses air.
- Never let more than one person use the board at a time. It is designed to carry the weight of a single adult only.
- Before handing over the SUP, inform persons to whom you are leaving it thoroughly about these safety instructions and
always carry this instruction manual with you.
- Do not allow other vehicles to tow the board except in an emergency.
- The board is approved for a maximum filling pressure of 1.04 bar (15 psi). At higher pressure the material will be
overstretched and can tear, even at a later stage (danger to life at sea). Inflate the board to a filling pressure of
