TROUBLESHOOTING
If you have any problems with your shredder, check the symptoms and remedies described below. If you are
unable to solve the problem this way, contact your nearest Kobra dealer. Do not open the head of the shredder
to attempt to repair it yourself. You could get a serious electric shock and invalidate your warranty.

WHAT HAPPENS
- The ENERGY SMART Optical
Illuminated Indicator (3) does
not come on.
The Stand-by light (1) does not
come on.
- The red light (2) comes on.
- The ENERGY SMART Optical
Illuminated Indicator (3) and
Stand-by light (1) come on.
- When paper is inserted into
the throat the machine fails
to start;
- Optical Illuminated Indicator
(3) on, cutting blades
operating.
- Capacity reduced compared
with capacity when cutting
blades are oiled.
Red light (2) flashing.
- CD's do not shred completely

CAUSE
- Button position (G)
- Lid (A) not closed properly.
- Bag full (E).
- Motor in heat protection
mode.
- Cable not connected
properly.
- No electrical power.
Material and/or dirt deposited
on photo cells (5) or (5a).
- Oil in container (P) has run
out.
- Check oil as above.
- Check supply voltage while
machine is shredding.

ACTION
- Turn button to " I " position
-Close the lid properly.
- Empty the bag.
- Wait 15 minutes for motor to
cool down.
- Check if machine is plugged
in correctly to power socket.
- Check if the socket is
switched on.
Remove deposit from photo
cells.
- Replace oil container (P).
- Move plug to different outlet
if voltage is low or dorps
significantly while the machine
is shredding.
