Calibration:
A. All PosiTest gages are factory
calibrated to NIST or PTB
traceable standards and under
normal circumstances shouldn't
require further adjustment.
B. Never verify accuracy on shim stock. Verification is
best achieved by using coated metal plate standards.
Care:
A. Periodically check the probe tip for foreign matter and
remove debris with a clean dry brush or cloth.
B. When not in use, return the gage to it's carrying case.
Note: Surface to be measured must be free from dirt, oil or
grease.
Note: PosiTest is available in two measuring ranges and
in mils or microns scale.
If the majority of your coating measurements are below 3
mils (75 µm): PosiTest Model GM (G) is most suitable.
If the majority of your coating measurements are above 2
mils (50 µm): PosiTest Model FM (F) is most suitable.
