Setting up
• Your machine is ready to use when removed from the
box. Retain the packaging in case you need to return the
machine for repair.
• The punching mechanism is coated with a protective
film of lubricant, which will mark your paper. Clear this
by punching scrap sheets of paper until clean prior to
binding.
Wire binding instructions
For use with GBC 34 loop wire elements.
1. Prepare paper to be punched
Lift the punch handle (1) to the upright position (WB15

only) (fig. A).
Place entire document so it rests on the paper support

2. Set the paper size
Load the first paper stack into the wire punch slot (4).

Adjusting your machine for A5:
Adjust the machine by sliding the paper edge guide (5)

located next to the punch slot from A4 to A5 (fig. B).
3. Punch paper
WB15 - Lower the raised handle until the paper is
punched, and support the machine when lifting the handle
to the upright position (fig. C).
WB15E - Press the punching button (9) once (fig. C)
4. Wire binding
Place the wire (open side up) on the wire support (fig.

D).
Feed each paper stack onto the wire and repeat until

your document is complete.
Support the document and wire on removal from the
3
wire support.
Insert the document into the wire closing jaws (wire
4
opening face down) (fig. E).
Support the document and pull down the wire closing
5
handle (2) to close the jaws (fig. F).
Use the wire closing guide (located in the wire closing
6
jaws) to ensure correct closure of the wire.
Binding tips:
To hide the spine of the wire:
• Load the internal sheets onto the wire first, repeating until
all are loaded.
• Load the front PVC cover onto the wire element.
• Load the rear cover onto the wire element last.

• It is best to close the wire a little, check, and then close
the wire a little more until you are happy with the wire
closure.
• Always use the wire size closing guide (located in the
wire closing jaws) to prevent over closing the wire.

Maintenance
Please ensure the clippings tray is emptied on a regular
basis (fig. H). This may prevent your machine from
overloading.

WARNING: Do not attempt to service or repair the
punch. Failure to observe this warning could result in
severe personal injury or death.
Disconnect the plug from the socket outlet and contact
GBC Technical Service when one or more of the following
has occurred.
• The power supply cord or attachment plug is damaged.
• Liquid has been spilled into the punch.
• The punch is malfunctioning after being mishandled.
• The punch does not operate as described in these
instructions.
