Mode 2 EV Charger
This Masterplug Mode 2 charger is intended for use with electric and hybrid vehicles.
Please read and use in accordance with these safety instructions. Please retain instructions for reference.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Caution should be taken when connecting the charger to a mains socket due to the constant high load. It is recommended
the charger should be connected to sockets approved for EV charging and marked to BS1363/EV.
Always inspect before use, do not use if the Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) plug, or cable is damaged.
Do not use with an extension lead or adaptor.
Connect the charging cable to a correctly functioning and suitable socket outlet.
Protect the plug and cable from moisture.
The user is responsible for any personal injury or vehicle or property damage arising from inappropriate use.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS & INDICATOR STATUS
Follow the instruction on the charger screen.
1. Insert 3-pin plug into wall socket (and switch on) – Charger starts self test mode, and Masterplug logo will appear on the
screen. After a couple of seconds, LED will flash Blue, ready to connect, if Red check fault guide.
2. Connect to EV – the charger will then start communication with the car, indicated by a Yellow LED.
3. Charging – Green indicator streams from bottom to top. Once charged indicator will turn solid Green.
4. To end charging disconnect (turn off) from wall socket and remove charger from EV.

After powering on the system will self-test,
if a fault is found it won't enter charge mode.
Charger connected to wall socket, not vehicle.
Gun inserted into vehicle, not charging.
Screen will display max charge current, voltage, temperature,
charging voltage, charge rate, connection time and total charge.
Power off charger and disconnect from vehicle, see fault guide to
