WARNING:

ne, toluene, ethyl acetate, hydrogen sulfide, sulfur dioxides, alcohol
based products, paints, thinner, solvents, adhesives, hair sprays, after
shaves, perfumes and some cleaning agents.
■ Your CO alarm will not be operational and will not monitor for CO
levels without the battery.
■ This device is designed to protect individuals from the acute effects
of carbon monoxide exposure. It will not fully safeguard individuals
with specific medical conditions. If in doubt consult a doctor.
6. Battery information
6.1 Battery activation:
This model is equipped with a feature that automatically activates the alarm when
the alarm is attached to the mounting plate for the first time. Once activated, the
battery will supply power to the unit for the life of the unit (10 years) under normal
conditions. NOTE: One Lithium-Ion battery, permanently built-in the alarm, pow-
ers this unit; no battery installation or replacement is necessary for the service life
of the alarm.
6.2 Battery deactivation:
This alarm is equipped with low battery monitor circuit which will cause the alarm
to produce chirps twice and blink the FAULT indictor (yellow LED) every 30 se-
conds. you must replace the alarm and , please see "7. Deactivation of alarm".
NOTE: Constant exposure to high or low humidity may reduce battery life.
7. Deactivation of alarm:
WARNING
■ Deactivation of the alarm is permanent, Once the alarm has been
deactivated, it cannot be reactivated!
■ Once deactivated, the alarm will no longer detect CO.
■ Once the alarm is deactivated the battery will be depleted and the
alarm will longer function
■ Once the alarm has been deactivated, it cannot be mounted.
