ADVICE & IMPORTANT INFORMATION!
ƒ Only use high-quality Alkaline batteries or Ni-MH rechargeable batteries.
ƒ DO NOT USE rechargeable LITHIUM batteries, these will damage your headlight as
they exceed rated voltage.
ƒ Do not use batteries of different brands or mix old and new batteries. Please recycle
used batteries responsibly.
ƒ Battery life is affected by different battery brands, different ambient temperatures
and different lighting modes.
ƒ If the batteries are damaged, fluids can leak out. AVOID contact as this can lead to skin
irritation and/or burns. If skin contact occurs, rinse thoroughly with water. If irritation
persists, seek medical advice. Seek immediate medical assistance if battery fluid
comes into contact with the eyes.
ƒ Do not look directly at the LED.
ƒ Do not use this product in extreme cold or hot environments (below -30˚C or above
60˚C).
ƒ Children under 12 years of age should only use the product with adult supervision.
ƒ This product is water resistant to IPX6 – DO NOT SUBMERGE. If the product has been
affected by damp, remove the batteries and leave the unit open and allow to dry out
completely before using.
ƒ Take care not to let the lens come into contact with hard/sharp objects, damage to
the lens will affect light output.
ƒ If you are not using the product for long periods of time (3 weeks or more), remove
batteries to prevent battery leakage and battery depletion.
ƒ If the batteries are installed and the headlight does not work, try checking for the
following: (1) Press the switch button several times. (2) Check that the batteries are
inserted the correct way around according to polarity markings. (3) Check there is
no debris on the contacts that might affect the battery connection. (4) Check there
is no water or dampness in the light, if so, allow it to fully dry out and try again. If the
product has been subjected to excessive moisture/water the warranty may be void.
ƒ Children under 12 years of age should only use the product with adult supervision.
ƒ This product has a 1 year standard warranty (or extended to 2 years once registered
online at WWW.UNILITE.CO.UK) against manufacturing faults and defects. It does not
cover normal wear and tear, modifications, accidental damage or poor maintenance.
Unilite warranties do not cover battery leaks or the use of incorrect chargers and
cables that can damage batteries.
ƒ Do not dispose of this device in normal household waste. It must be disposed of via an
authorised disposal centre or at your local waste disposal unit.
ƒ Please reuse or recycle packaging where possible.
ƒ Keep these instructions for future reference or for subsequent possessors.
