OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Remove the kettle from the base (6), open the lid (1) using the lid release button
(7) and fill the appliance with cold water within the permitted maximum only.
Note: Make sure that the lid (1) is closed properly, otherwise the kettle can not
turn off automatically.
2. Place the kettle on the base (6); electric contacts will get connected automatically.
Thanks to the central connector design, the kettle can turn around 360° and be
put on the base from any side.
3. Connect the base to the mains.
4. Turn the kettle on by pressing the switch (5).
The operation of the kettle is indicated by a backlight. The kettle lid (1) must be
properly closed when water is being heated.
WARNING!
Do not open the lid during heating or immediately after heating is completed.
Hot steam could scald you!
5. When the boiling point is reached, the kettle automatically switches off and the
backlight goes out. Water heating can be terminated prematurely by moving
the switch (5) to the off position.
6. Remove the kettle from the base (6) and use the hot water.
7. If you want to reheat the water you have just finished boiling, wait for approximately 30 seconds before reactivating
the switch (5).
8. The kettle filter captures all potential impurities while pouring water.
Note: It is not a sign of a defect when a small amount of water droplets appear on the kettle base (7). It is a small amount
of condensed steam, which deactivates the kettle thermostat.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

WARNING!
Prior to each cleaning operation disconnect the lead-in cable of the appliance from el. socket! Prior to start any
handling operation, make sure that the appliance is cooled down!
Use only a wet rag for cleaning surface of the appliance, do not use any cleansers or hard things which could damage
the surface!
Never clean the appliance under running water, never flush it and never immerse the appliance into water!
Scale removal
During common use water impurities are deposited. Use commercially available agents for scale removal (observe
manufacturer's instructions).
Note: Remove the deposits regularly, once a week as a rule – periodicity depends on water hardness and on frequency
of kettle use. The deposits reduce efficiency and service life of the appliance materially.
