EXAMINE THE CHAIN OIL

Do not use the machine without sufficient chain oil.

HOLD THE MACHINE

1. The grip area is within 100 mm behind the lock out
button.
2. Hold the chainsaw with one hand at the rear handle
and with the other hand at the front handle. Always
use both hands when using the machine.
3. Hold the handles with the thumbs and the fingers
around them.
4. Make sure that the thumb of the hand that holds the
front handle is below the handle.

2. Press the trigger while you hold the lock-out button.

WARNING
To reduce the risk of serious injuries to the operator
or bystanders, keep hands, feet and other parts of the
body away from the saw chain.
•
Always wear proper clothing and protective apparel,
including proper eye protection.
•
Work carefully and maintain proper control of the
machine.
•
Always start a cut with the chain rotating at full
speed and with the bumper in contact with the
wood.
•
Use caution when approaching the end of a cut.
•
Never put pressure on the machine when reaching
the end of a cut.
•
Never cut more then one branch at the same time.

This section describes how to maintain the battery,
battery charger, and product.

Before you do maintenance:
•
Stop the product.
•
Remove the battery or batteries.
•
Allow the motor to cool down.
•
Wear appropriate clothing, protective gloves, and
safety glasses.

REPLACE THE GUIDE BAR AND
THE CHAIN

1. Switch off the machine.
2. Remove the battery pack.
3. Raise the handle of chain tension knob.
4. Loosen the chain cover by turning the handle of
chain tension knob counterclockwise.
5. Remove the chain cover.
6. Put the chain drive links into the bar groove.
7. Put the chain cutters in the direction of the chain
operation.
8. Ensure the chain is put on in the correct direction
(do not assemble with the cutters backwards).
9. Put the chain in position and make sure that the
loop is behind the guide bar.
10. Hold the chain and bar.
11. Put the chain loop around the sprocket.
12. Make sure the chain tension pin hole on the guide
bar fits correctly with the bolt.
13. Install the chain cover.
14. Tighten the chain. Refer to Adjust the chain tension.
15. Tighten the knob when the chain is correctly
tensioned.
If you start the chain saw with a new chain, have a
test for 2-3 minutes. A new chain gets longer after the
first use, examine the tension and tighten the chain if
necessary.

ADJUST THE CHAIN TENSION

The more you use a chain the longer it becomes. It is
therefore important to adjust the chain regularly to take
up the slack.
