SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical appliances, follow basic safety precautions to reduce the risk of fire,
electric shock and injury. These include:
• Read all instructions carefully, even if you are familiar with the appliance.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have
been given supervision and instruction concerning the use of the appliance by a person
responsible for their safety.
• Indoor use only. Do not use this appliance outdoors.
• Keep candles and other naked flame sources away from the appliance.
• Keep the appliance away from radiators, heaters, air ducts, direct sunlight and other heat
sources.
• Do not block the ventilation openings on the appliance. Ensure the vents are not covered.
• Do not run the cord under carpeting or cover it with rugs. Keep the cord away from
congested areas to avoid it becoming a tripping hazard.
• To disconnect, turn off the appliance and unplug it from the power outlet.
• Never carry the appliance by its cord or pull the cord to unplug the appliance. When
unplugging, grasp the plug to pull and disconnect.
• Never operate the appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or if the appliance malfunctions,
has been dropped or is damaged in any way. Contact the manufacturer.
• Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify the appliance – doing this will void the
warranty. Contact qualified personnel for any issues.
• Do not place items that have come into contact with flammable liquids inside the dryer. You
must wash them thoroughly with detergent before placing them in the dryer.
• Do not excessively bend, stretch or twist the power cord. Do not place heavy objects on top
of the cord.
• Only qualified personnel can service this appliance. There are no user-serviceable parts
inside.
• Do not use an extension cord for this appliance.
• Do not install in a tight-fitting cabinet.
• Do not overload the tumble dryer.
• Keep foreign objects out of the tumble dryer.
• The window may be hot after a long drying cycle. Keep small children away from the
appliance while in use.
• If not wall-mounted, place the tumble dryer on a flat, firm and dry surface, ensuring it is in a
ventilated location. Use the adjustable front legs to level the dryer if needed. Never place
the appliance on foam, plastic or other soft materials.
• Never place gas, petrol, alcohol, lacquer or other flammable or combustible materials inside
this tumble dryer.
• Once you have turned off the appliance through the power supply, wait at least two minutes
before turning it back on again.
• Before use, remove the transport packaging at the rear of the tumble dryer.
• Damaged supply cords must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified personnel to avoid hazards.
CAUTION! If you use this appliance with an extension cord or portable outlet, make sure the
cord or outlet is kept dry and away from any water or moisture.
