4. Advice on operation

In order for the pump to operate correctly, the following rules must be
observed:
• The pump must not run dry;;
• The pump must be in a stable position in a collection chamber or at
least at the lowest point in the premises where it is to be installed.
• Freezing of the pump must be avoided. If temperatures are too low,
the pump should be removed, drained and stored in a frost-free place.
• It is advisable to check regularly that there is no accumulation of dirt
(leaves, sand, etc.) in the collection chamber.

5. Overload protection

The pump is fitted with a thermal protection device. If the motor gets too
hot, this protection will automatically switch off the pump. It will then
allow the pump to cool down for 15 to 20 minutes before switching it on
again. If this protection has failed, it is imperative that the cause of the
fault is identified and rectified. See point 6: Troubleshooting.
