4. Installation and use
Inserting and removing the batteries:
• You need 4 x AA batteries to operate the device. Open the battery compartment on
the back of the device.
• Insert the batteries. Pay attention to the polarity. It is shown in the housing. (The
negative end of the battery always points to the spring in the battery compartment.)
• Close the battery compartment. The device is now ready for operation.
• The enclosed adapter cable is not needed. Please close the plug socket with the plug
provided.
Installing in the car:
• The device is assembled in the engine compartment of the car. It should be installed
in a place in the engine compartment that is protected from splash water and gener-
al dirt. Make sure that the LED Flash function is not covered.
• The device is connected directly to the car battery. Plug the adapter cable into the
