Drilling machine operation:
Do not pull the cable out of the drain in reverse. Always run the unit
in forward gear. Only use the reverse gear to release the cable if it is
caught in the line.
1.
Attach the Drum Auger to an electric drill, preferably with a variable speed trigger.
2. Position the unit as close as possible to the drain.
3. Slowly pull the spiral out of the drum by hand and insert the spiral of the Drum Auger
into the blocked pipe or drain until you feel resistance at the blocked spot.
4. Press the quick release button to activate the lock (Fig. 5)
5. Pull the trigger of the drill slowly and with slight forward pressure until the spiral enters
the tube. (Fig. 10)
6. Press the Quick release button, to release the spring. (Fig. 7)
7.
Repeat steps 2-6 until the drain is clear. Push the spiral back into the drum by hand
and pull it out of the drain. (Fig. 8)
Make sure that you apply sufficient pressure against the blockage in the pipe or
drain.
8. Remove the Drum Auger as soon as the pipe or drain is clear and clean it.
9.
Rinse out the cable and drum. Allow to air dry before storage to avoid rust. (Fig. 9)
