Hand-operated
The spiral is not attached to the drum. Always secure the spiral with the locking
screw to prevent the entire spiral from leaving the drum.
1. Position the unit as close as possible to the drain.
2. Slowly pull the spiral out of the drum by hand and insert the spiral of the Drum Auger
into the blocked pipe or drain until you feel resistance at the blocked spot.
3. Press the quick release button to activate the lock (Fig. 5)
4. Hold the handle with one hand and with the other hand turn the Rotating handle of
the Drum Auger. By repeatedly cranking the handle clockwise and repositioning the
Drum Auger, you can unblock the clogged area. (Fig. 6)
5. Press the Quick release button, to release the spring. (Fig. 7)
6. Repeat steps 2-4 until the drain is clear. Push the spiral back into the drum by hand
and pull it out of the drain. (Fig. 8)
Make sure that you apply sufficient pressure against the blockage in the pipe or
drain.
7. Remove the drain cleaner as soon as the pipe or drain is clear and clean it.
8. Rinse out the cable and drum. Allow to air dry before storage to avoid rust. (Fig. 9)
