• Insert the chosen ground coffee filter (L or M) into the
filter holder.
• Fill the removable filter with ground coffee (6-7 g per cup
to be prepared).
• We recommend not to use ground coffee too crude or too
fine, as may affect the operation of the machine.
• If you wish to make 1 coffee, use the 1-coffee filter (L) and
fill the ladle (1 spoonful).
• For 2 coffees apply the last indication using the 2-coffee
filter (M) and put in 2 spoonfuls.
• Next, lightly press down the ground coffee with the back
of the measure spoon.
• Replace the filter holder in the appliance by inserting the
assembly in its gap and turning it from left to right until it
locks.
USE
• Connect the appliance to the mains.
• Turn the appliance on, by using the ON/OFF button.
• The pilot light (D) comes on.
• Wait until the heating pilot light (E) also comes on. It
means right temperature is reached.
• Place one or two cups under the filter holder.
• Press the coffee output button (G).
• The coffee will begin to exit. When you have obtained
the desire quantity of espresso coffee, press again the
button (G).
• Wait few seconds and remove the cups of coffee.
• Remove the filter holder and empty the grounds from it.
• Clean the filter holder with running water and dry it
properly. Then put it back in the filter holder.
• Replace the filter holder checking that it perfectly fits in
the appliance.
RECOMMENDATIONS TO PREPARE A GOOD ITALIAN
ESPRESSO
• Lightly press down the coffee in the filter. The intensity of
the espresso depends on how much the coffee has been
ground, the quantity of coffee in the filter and the level
of pressure applied. It only takes a few seconds for the
coffee to come out. If it takes longer, this means that the
coffee has been grounded too finely or that the grounded
coffee has been pressed too much.
GETTING HOT WATER
• Turn the appliance on using the ON/OFF button (F).
• The pilot light will come on (D).
• Wait until the heating pilot light (E) also comes
on, indicating that the water has reached the right
temperature.
• Place a recipient under the steamer pipe (I).
• Press the coffee output button (G) to operate the pump.
• Open the steam knob by turning it counterclockwise.
• The hot water begins to pour out through the steamer
pipe.
• Once you have obtained the desired quantity of hot water,
close the steam knob by turning it clockwise.
• Turn off the coffee output button to stop the pump.
OBTAINING STEAM
• Turn the appliance on using the ON/OFF button (F).
• Press the steam heating button (H).
• The heating light (E) will illuminate indicating that the
water has reached the proper temperature for generating
steam.
• Place a recipient under the steamer pipe.
• Open the steam knob (Q) counterclockwise.
• Steam will begin to exit.
• When you have enough, close the steam knob and
remove the recipient.
• Then press back the steam and ON/OFF buttons to the
OFF position.
STAND-BY FUNCTION
• In order to save energy, the appliance passes to stand-by
after 25 minutes if the user does not use it.
• To return to normal operation simply press the appliance's
ON/OFF button (F).
ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE APPLIANCE
• Turn the appliance off using the ON/OFF button.
• Unplug the appliance from the mains.
• Remove the water from the water tank.
• Allow to cool down.
• Clean the appliance.
SAFETY THERMAL PROTECTOR
• The appliance has a safety device, which protects the
appliance from overheating.
BASIC CLEANING
• Disconnect the appliance from the mains and allow it to
cool before undertaking any cleaning task.
• Clean the equipment with a damp cloth with a few drops
of washing-up liquid and then dry.
• Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH
such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the
appliance.
