5. Adjusting and maintenance
5.1 Control of the expansion valve
The expansion valve regulates the amount of refrigerant for cold generation in the refrigerant
compressor. The precise regulation is used to adapt the cold generation to current conditions
and prevents icing and overheating of the system. The expansion valve is set in the factory
and does not require any additional adjustment under normal conditions. The expansion
valve can be readjusted by specialists if the working conditions of the refrigeration dryer
differ. Without compressed air flow through the dryer, rotate the adjusting screw (position A
on the drawing) until the following value is reached:

engineers, using suitable measuring instruments.
