INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Mi-250S RF radio thermostat set
Field of application
The Mi-250S RF is a radio room thermostat and consists of a battery-
operated transmitter (2x AAA batteries) and a mains-powered
receiver (230V / 50Hz). The device is designed for convenient and
economical heating operation and can control the central heating
boiler, electric heaters or other consumers with a maximum switching
capacity of 7A / 1610W. Almost all consumers can be switched via the
potential-free switching contact. The temperature is monitored via
the integrated sensor on the radio transmitter. The radio range is up to
20 metres in the building (approx. 50m free field range).
Safety instructions and measures
Please read these operating instructions carefully before using the

Mounting position of the thermostat (transmitter)
The thermostat/transmitter should not be installed/placed where there is
excessive air circulation (e.g. at the room entrance or next to the window).
Installation locations in the direct vicinity of heating/cooling devices
(radiators, oven, air conditioning unit) or in areas exposed to direct sunlight
are also not suitable. The thermostat/transmitter must be installed approx.
1.5 metres above the floor.

Opening the thermostat housing
Open the housing:
Use a screwdriver to press forwards on the recesses (left and right) on the
underside of the room thermostat (see picture above). The front part of the
thermostat can now be removed from the mounting plate.
Insert batteries:
Insert 2 AAA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment, observing the
direction of the batteries. If the batteries need to be replaced, always replace
both batteries at the same time.
Close the housing:
To close the device again, reinsert the front part at the top of the hook on the
mounting plate and then press the front part lightly at the bottom until it
clicks into place.
Battery warning in the display:
If the "LB" symbol appears on the thermostat display, the batteries should be
replaced promptly.

Notes:
If the device is not used for a longer period of time (more than 15 days), we
recommend removing the batteries.
Dispose of batteries in the designated waste container for batteries.
Mounting position of the receiver
The following points must be observed when positioning the receiver
reception of signals is not impaired. The following points must be
observed:
The devices should not be mounted on metal surfaces.
The devices should not be installed near electrical cables and electronic
devices such as computers and televisions.
The devices should not be installed near large metal structures or other
building materials with fine metal mesh such as special glass or special
concrete.
The distance between the room thermostat and the receiver should not
exceed 20 metres or 2 storeys.
Connection of the thermostat:
Attention: Work on the electrical installation may only be carried out by
professionally qualified persons!
First switch off the load to be connected and the incoming power source!
min. 20 cm
The thermostat set can be used for various applications, as the thermostat
has a potential-free switching output. Depending on the type of supply or
control required, connect the consumer to the receiver (see connection
diagram (application examples)).
Once the consumer has been connected, the consumer can be switched on
as a test by pressing the manual operation button on the receiver for 2
seconds. The LED on the receiver flashes when the consumer is switched
on. Once you have made sure that the load is in operation, switch it off again
by pressing the button again (2 seconds).
Description of the connection terminals
The receiver has a potential-free output relay which can be used to switch
voltages between 0 and 240V. The maximum switching power is 7A /
1610W.
