16. Warranty terms

Important:
Please always observe the mentioned inspection intervals in order to keep
the warranty demand. Any service is subject to a charge.
Let the service company always prove the inspection in this manual
(service stamp). The service is only achknowledged if done by an autho-
rized repair shop (for motorcycles).
Always pay attention to the hints and warranty terms in this manual.
Warranty terms
The manufacturer grants a warranty according to the legal requirements for this
motorcycle. Please contact your dealer or service centre in case of a claim under
the warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt, the
service proves and state what the defect is. Defects in material or workmanship will
be removed free of charge within the warranty period. The manufacturer decides if
the warranty will be fulfilled by repair or by exchange of parts. We reserve the right
of review if the claim is a warranty case. The demand for warranty expires, if:
- parts were mounted, which are not original parts and not approved by us
- the construction or the functionality of the original item has been changed
- the manual and/or the inspection intervals were not followed
- the damage is caused by an act of nature, rockfall, hail, road salt, fumes,
lacking care, non-suitable detergents etc.
- the damage is caused by commercial use
Parts of wear and tear (see the table on next page) as well as cleaning and
adjusting and checking works are generally excluded from warranty.
