SD MINI SC Salad Spinner
As with all food service equipment, proper

Care and Cleaning Procedures are essential
for your new Salad Spinner to offer you
many years of satisfaction.
OPERATION
In order to extend the life of your salad
spinner (more specifically the gears), we
suggest that you follow these simple yet
imperative guidelines.
➜ a- When turning the handle of the salad
spinner. Start off slowly, this will pre-
vent unnecessary strain on the gears.
➜ b- Never stop the unit from spinning
by grabbing the handle of the salad
spinner. This will cause enormous
strain on all the gears, and will even-
tually damage them.
➜ c- Should you wish to stop the basket
from spinning sooner lift the entire
lid from the spinner and stop the
inside basket. This will not cause
damage to your unit. As the gears are
located inside the lid.
CARE AND CLEANING
PROCEDURES
The Salad Spinners E20 SC / SD92 SC
and E5 SC / SD MINI SC are appro-
ved ETL Sanitation/conforms to NSF
C2-1983.
Please take a few moments to
review the following procedures.
➜ 1- To clean, simply remove the top
and inner basket from the outside

container. Wash all three compo-
nents thoroughly with a mild liquid
soap. Powder or crystal soaps are
not recommended. Rinse with hot
water as to remove all soap resi-
due. Let dry. This process should
be done after each usage in
either a pot sink or a wash basin.
If necessary, unscrew the lid cou-
pling sleeve (ref. : 2824 for E20 SC/
SD92 SC or 5824 for E5 SC/SD MINI
SC) in order to clean the gap between
the coupling sleeve and the water-
proof seal. The basket axle (ref. : 2814
for E20 SC/SD92 SC or 5814 for E5
SC/SD MINI SC) can be unscrewed in
order to thoroughly clean the under
side of the basket.
➜ 2- Do not put in the dishwasher.
➜ 3- Do not overload the Salad
Spinner : Do not exceed manufac-
turer's recommendation for maxi-
mum capacity :
- E20 SC / SD92 SC : 20 liters / 5 galons
max. / 6-8 standard size heads of
lettuce,
- E5 SC / SD MINI SC : 5 liters / 1 galon /
1-2 standard size heads of lettuce.
➜ 4- Do not use the Salad Spinner
for any purpose other than its
intended use.
➜ 5- Do not attempt to stop the
salad spinner with the handle
while in motion : Stopping the
