Precautionary
When using an electrical device, basic precautions
should always be followed, including the following:
• Do not flash against any other surface than the skin.
This can cause severe damage to the attachment.
• Do not open, disassemble, drop or insert any object
into any openings or try to fix the device as this may
cause damage to the unit, malfunction, electrical
shock, fire or personal injury. There are no
user-serviceable parts inside the unit.
• Dispose of all products in accordance with local and
national regulations and codes.
• Do not use if you are sensitive to light. If you are
unsure whether you have increased sensitivity to
light, we recommend you perform the Light
Sensitivity Test instructed in this manual.
• Do not use if you are taking drugs known to make
you sensitive to light. You may be sensitive to light
and not know it. There are photosensitizing agents
in drugs, foods, soaps, cosmetics, and dyes.
• Drugs that are known to cause light sensitivity:
Antibiotics;
Hypoglycemics; HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors
(statins); Photodynamic Therapy drugs; Prophoto
sensitizers; Neuroleptic drugs or Antifungals.
• Do not use over or near a recent steroid injection.
Doing so may result in photosensitive reactions.
