@ Battery Operation:
e@When removing the batteries, start by first lifting up the © side of the
"No. 7" battery.
@Battery Condition:
1) Set the Radio Switch to "ON".
2) The Operation Indicator will then show the battery condition.

With weak batteries, the
sound will become dis-
torted, especially at high
volume levels.
IMPORTANT (Only for model RF-3100LBE)
The wires in this mains lead are coloured in accordance with
the following code:
Blue:
Neutral
Brown:
Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead of this apparatus
may not correspond with the coloured markings identifying
m AC Power Operation:
1) First, check the AC Voltage Selector to insure that it is set to the
voltage which corresponds to your household AC voltage. if not,
adjust by inserting a small screwdriver into the slot provided and
turning the screwdriver until the desired voltage appears through
the opening.
110-125 V
220-240 V
@RF-3100LBE is 240 V only.
2) Extend the AC power cord from the AC Power Cord Compart-
ment. Position the cord in the cabinet opening provided.
3) Plug the AC Power Cord into an AC power outlet.
The unit will automatically switch from battery to AC operation.

Notes:
eWhen
changing the AC Voltage Selector, make sure that the
desired voltage is indicated through the opening.

@Be sure to set the Radio Switch to "OF F'', when turning the set off.

Unplugging the AC Power Cord from the AC outlet automatically
switched from AC to battery operation, but does not turn the unit
off.

the terminals in your plug proceed as follows:
@The wire which is coloured blue must be connected to the
termina! which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.
@The wire which is coloured brown must be connected to the
terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.
If a 13-amp. (BS. 1363) plug is used, a 3-amp. fuse must be
fitted, or if any other type of plug is used, a 5-amp. fuse must
be fitted either in the plug or adaptor or at the distribution
board.
