ADAT output 1 allows for transmission of all 8 output
signals in single-speed mode (sampling rate: 44.1 kHz /48 kHz)
In double-speed mode (sampling rate: 88.2 kHz / 96 kHz),
ADAT output 2 comes into play. Four output signals are now output
per ADAT output port – but at twice the sampling rate.
In line with the S/MUX transmission standard, four output signals are transmitted
in quad-speed mode (sampling rate: 176.4 kHz / 192 kHz).
Of course, all channels are still output analog at the DB25 output.

Service Port

The service port (USB) on the optional AD converter of the P8
ensures that the digital interface can be easily maintained. It
is used to transfer the operating software (firmware) and is not
intended for audio connections.
Audio output connections can only be done via the ADAT ports and the DB25 sockets.
ADAT 1 sends channels 1 to 8.
ADAT 1 sends channels 1 to 4.
ADAT 2 sends channels 5 to 8.
ADAT 1 sends channels 1 and 2.
ADAT 2 sends channels 3 and 4.
