7. Testing the RAN room bus
7.1. Testing the RAN status
Check whether the set RAN number equals the number of operational room devices;
refer to Section 6.4.3: "Setting of RAN number (0 – 30)" (page 19).

Tap RAN in the "Settings" menu.

Highlight Status using the arrow keys. Then press the circle key.
The RAN status is displayed:
• OK: The set RAN number matches the number of operational devices on the room
bus.
• Error: The set RAN number does not match the number of operational devices on
the room bus.

Press the home key to return to the menu.
If Error has been displayed, perform a RAN test.
7.2. Performing a RAN test
Test whether all devices on the RAN are correctly connected and operational:
1.
Highlight RAN using the arrow keys. Then press the circle key
2.
Highlight Test RAN using the arrow keys. Then press the circle key.
The RAN test starts. During the RAN test Testing RAN... is displayed. The LEDs of
all devices on the room bus must flash. Devices not flashing have been connected
incorrectly or are defective.
• Replace defective devices.
• Reconnect any devices that have not been connected correctly.
3.
To end the RAN test, press the home key.
