4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Unplug the sandwich maker and let it cool down before cleaning. The appliance is easier
to clean when slightly warm. It is not necessary to disassemble the sandwich maker for
cleaning. Never immerse the sandwich maker in water or wash it in a dishwasher.
- Wash the cooking plates with water or put them in the dishwasher.
- Wipe the plates with a soft cloth to remove food residues. To remove stuck-on food
residues, pour a little warm water mixed with detergent over them and wipe the plates
with a non-abrasive scouring pad or wet paper towel to moisten them.
- Do not use abrasive materials that could scratch or damage the non-stick coating of the
plates.
- Do not use metal utensils to remove food from the plates as they may damage the
non-stick coating of the plates.
- Clean the outside of the sandwich maker with a damp cloth only. Do not clean the exterior
with abrasive or aluminium scouring pads as these may damage the finish. Do not immerse
it in water or any other liquid.
- Do not wash the sandwich maker in the dishwasher.
Storage
- Before storing the sandwich maker, disconnect it from the mains.
- Always make sure it is completely dry before storing it.
- Coil the power cord before storing to avoid twisting. This will extend its lifespan.
