: when the sandwich maker heats up for the first time, it may emit a slight smoke or
odour. This is normal for this type of appliance and will not affect the safety of the product.

3. OPERATION
1.
Close the sandwich maker and plug it into a power socket: the power indicator light will
come light up, indicating that the sandwich maker is preheating.
2.
It will take approximately 2 to 5 minutes for the sandwich maker to reach the right
temperature to heat the sandwiches. When it has been reached, the preheating indicator
light will light up.
3.
Open the sandwich maker and place the sandwiches, meat, etc. on the lower cooking
plate.
4.
Close the sandwich maker.
5.
Cook the sandwich for 3-6 minutes or until the bread is golden brown to your liking.
6.
When the food is ready, use the handle to open the appliance. Remove the food with the
help of a plastic or silicone spatula.
WARNING
: never use metal tongs or knives to remove food, as these can cause damage to
the non-stick coating of the plates.
7.
When you have finished cooking, unplug the appliance, and leave it open to cool down.
Removing the cooking plates
WARNING
: always unplug the sandwich maker and allow it to cool down before removing
the cooking plates.
1.
Open the sandwich maker. When you open it, you will see four identical tabs holding both
plates, two for each.
2.
Press the release tabs on one of the plates. If you do so, the plate will lift slightly. Hold
the plate with both hands and lift it up to remove it. Do the same with the other plate to
remove it.
