6.1 INSTALL MACHINE AFTER TRANSPORTATION

– Cut and dispose packaging materials.
– Position the protective board (4/1) under the arch.
– Set the forks of the fork-lift so that both fi t under
the arch. Carefully raise the machine from the
pallet.
Never raise the machine with only one fork
as it could tip over.
– Set the machine on level, fi rm ground.
– Castors are fi tted with brakes to hold the machine in
place.

6.2 CHANGING STRAP COIL

– Remove handle nut (5/2).
– Take off front disc (5/3) and remove remaining
strap.
– Insert new strap coil (5/1), strap header in direction
of arrow.
If the new strap coil has a different inside-Ø,
the dispenser can be adjusted using of five
reel blocks.
– Mount front disc (5/3).
– Mount handle nut (5/2).
– Cut transportation bands and remove.
– Draw the strap from the dispenser through the
brake-lever eyelet (5/4) and lead it between the
brake lever (5/5) and defl ecting roller.
Push the brake lever down to release the
dispenser brake.
– Then lead the strap under the defl ecting roller (5/8)
as far as the opening in the machine (5/7).
Feed the strap so that it curves (sabre)
downwards
– Push the lever (5/6) downwards and advance the
strap about 100 mm. Release the lever (5/6).
– Turn the main switch (3/1) to position "1".
– Press the "Auto Load" (5/9) button. The strap will
be fed automatically. The machine is now ready for
strapping (see chapter 7.3).
End of strap:
At the end of the strap, it is automatically ejected and
the operating lamp blinks (Fig. 3/4). To acknowledge
the malfunction, operate the main switch or emer-
gency stop. To feed in the new strap using the "Auto
Load" button.
