which can be damaged by steam.
CAUTION
1. Always use cold water when filling the kettle.
The water level must be between the MIN. and MAX. levels! NOTE: The lines 0,5/MIN and 1,7/MAX are

marked inside the container. Hot water may spurt out if the kettle is overfilled.
3. Switch off the kettle before removing it from the base.
4. Always make sure the lid is well closed.
5. The base and kettle body should not be wet.
6. Only use the kettle in combination with its original base.
You may not use the kettle to heat any other liquids than water. Never put in the kettle tea bags, loose
tea or any other ingredients for making beverages!

USING THE APPLIANCE

Fill the kettle with clean, cold and potable water up to max. level before first use, switch it on and bring the
water to a boil. Then pour the water out and repeat the procedure at least five times. With this procedure you
will properly clean the kettle and remove any possible after-taste. If you have the impression that you taste
plastic from the boiled water, we recommend to repeat the procedure. It is also recommended the leave the
empty kettle open for 24 hours. The kettle material coming into contact with water is certified as harmless to
health. Any slight "smell" or "after-taste" during initial use after unpacking kettle is a normal phenomenon and
should not be cause for return of the appliance.
You should boil clean water in the kettle five times before using it for the first time.
1. Remove the lid and fill the kettle with clean water. Do not overfill the kettle, watch the water level indicator.
Put the lid back on and close the kettle properly.
2. Place the kettle on its base.
3. After plugging the kettle into the power outlet, select the desired preset on the display, see instructions
below. To select 100 °C, simply press button 8.
4. The kettle will switch off automatically after the boiling process has finished.
5. Unplug the cord from the outlet.
6. Do not open the lid when pouring the water out. Pour the water out of the kettle only through the spout.
CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONS OF THE KETTLE
1. Display of the current water temperature in the kettle.
2. Heating of baby food (temperature setting to 40 °C)
3. Preparation of white tea (temperature setting to 70 °C)
4. Green tea preparation (temperature setting to 80 °C)
5. Coffee preparation (temperature setting to 90 °C)
6. +/- buttons for manual adjustment of the desired heating temperature. It is
possible to set values of 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 70, 75, 85, 90, 95 and 100 °C in steps.
The set temperature will be displayed on indicator 1.
Temperature hold function: after setting the desired temperature using the 2-5

buttons or manual setting, you can activate this function to hold this temperature.
The set temperature will be maintained even after the kettle is removed from the
base.
8. Button for switching on/off the backlight of the temperature display and
individual function buttons.
