Alarm replacement
The smoke alarm contains a long life non-replaceable Lithium battery. It shall be last
for 10 years under normal operating conditions. The smoke alarm has a low battery
indicator, and audible "chirp". It will operate at 30 - 40 second intervals for a minimum
of 30 days. Replace a new smoke alarm when this indication occurs. Pull out the acti-
vating tag to deactivate the alarm before disposal.
This product containing lithium battery should be disposed in line with local disposal
regulations. If you are unsure, please contact your local Government related depart-
ment for advice.
Good safety habits
There are situations where a smoke alarm may not be effective in protecting against
fire, for instance:
• Smoking in bed;
• Leaving children home alone; and
• Cleaning with flammable liquids, such as gasoline.
Installation or mounting information
Your smoke alarm is designed for easy mounting on wall or ceiling. A complete moun-
ting kit is included with the smoke alarm. First place the mounting bracket on the wall
or ceiling surface, use the pencil to mark down two drill-holes location on the wall or
ceiling surface. Check with the screws provided and use the drilling machine to drill
the two holes on the wall or ceiling surface, then attached the mounting bracket on the
wall or ceiling with the screw provided.
For the concrete surface or masonry, additional two dowels are included, check with
the dowels provided and use the drilling machine to drill the two holes around 5.5 mm
diameter and 25 - 30 mm deep on the concrete surface, then attached the mounting
bracket on the concrete surface with screw provided.
Second, pushed in the activating tag, then twist and lock the smoke alarm on mounting
bracket, the smoke alarm is equipped with a safety device which prevents inserting to
the mounting bracket unless the activating tag.
Remove a detachable tamper pin from the mounting bracket. After twist and mount the
smoke alarm, insert the tamper pin to the hole from side for locking purpose.
After completion, check the solid (durable/reliable) mounting of your smoke alarm.
Otherwise improve it if necessary.

tions or heavy mechanical stress.
• Replace the product 10 years after the manufacture date by the latest.
• Do not carelessly leave the packaging material lying around since this
may become a dangerous toy for children.
• Handle the product with care; it may be damaged by impacts, blows, or
accidental falls, even from a low height.
Attaching the type sign
The delivery includes several type signs in different languages. Before installation,
attach the type sign corresponding to your language to the bottom side of the smoke
detector; attach it on top of the existing (German) type sign.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable material and do not belong in the house-
hold waste.
Please dispose of the product, when it is no longer of use, according to the
current statutory requirements.
