Initial operation
4.1
Opening the unit (Fig. 1)
Caution
The power supply has to be connected
to the socket in the unit. Caution !
Loosen screws 1 to 4 to open the housing
After connecting the unit to a compressed-air
supply (pmin = 7 bar, pmax = 16 bar), the po-
wer supply can be established (230 v, 50 Hz).
The readiness for operation is indicated by
the display of the initial setpoint value of 2.0
bar in the upper LC display. The setting of the
pressure reducer to 6 bar should be checked.
Every time the unit is switched on, an ambient
pressure compensation is carried out by the
fi lling hose. For this reason, the unit must not
be connected to a tyre before switching on
(fault message E –5).

Operation
Caution
The tyre pressure controller is not
suitable to fi ll bicycle tyres fi tted with
normal bicycle valves and adapter. The
tyres may be overfi lled !
Set required tyre pressure via +/- keys
Press the OK button to acknowledge the
setpoint value.
Connect the hose with the tyre valve – the
fi lling process will start automatically.

Using the additional functions
The 4th button on the AirMaster Compact can
be used to access one of the additional func-
tions. The additional function that is currently
selected is indicated by the confi guration of
the DIP switches.
5.2
Pressure units function
Press the 4th button to switch the unit of pres-
sure between [bar] and [psi]. If DIP switch 5 is
in the "Off" position, this function is active.
5.3
OverPresSure function
Before fi lling a tyre you can enter an overpres-
sure. The air pressure regulator then fi lls the
tyre to the rated pressure + overpressure (set-
ting pressure) in the 1st step and then adjusts
it to the rated pressure in the 2nd step. The
entire process is automatic with no additional
operator intervention. If DIP switch 5 is in the
"On" position, this function is active.
5.4
OverPresSure input
When you press the 4th button, "OPS" is dis-
played, followed by the last selected overpres-
sure. Press "+"/ "-" to set the new overpres-
sure and "OK" to confi rm. The new overpres-
sure applies to each subsequent fi ll operation.
If an overpressure of 0.00 is entered, the func-
tion is disabled and air pressure regulation
takes place in a single step (single-stage air
pressure regulator).
