NOTES FOR LI-ION BATTERIES
Use of Li-Ion batteries
Battery packs which have not been used for some time should be
recharged before use.
Temperatures in excess of 50°C (122°F) reduce the performance of
the battery pack. Avoid extended exposure to heat or sunshine (risk
of overheating).
The contacts of chargers and battery packs must be kept clean.
For an optimum life-time, the battery packs have to be fully charged,
after used.
To obtain the longest possible battery life remove the battery pack
from the charger once it is fully charged.
For battery pack storage longer than 30 days:
Store the battery pack where the temperature is below 27°C and
away from moisture
Store the battery packs in a 30% - 50% charged condition
Every six months of storage, charge the pack as normal.
Battery protection for Li-Ion batteries
Under extreme circumstances, the internal temperature of the
battery pack could raise too much. If this happens, the fuel gauge
will fl ash until the battery pack cooled down. After the lights go off ,
the work may continue.
Transport of Lithium batteries
Lithium-ion batteries are subject to the Dangerous Goods Legislation
requirements.
Transportation of those batteries has to be done in accordance with
local, national and international provisions and regulations.
• The user can transport the batteries by road without further
requirements.
• Commercial transport of Lithium-Ion batteries by third parties is
subject to Dangerous Goods regulations. Transport preparation
and transport are exclusively to be carried out by appropriately
trained persons and the process has to be accompanied by
corresponding experts.
When transporting batteries:
• Ensure that battery contact terminals are protected and insulated
to prevent short circuit.
• Ensure that battery pack is secured against movement within
packaging.
• Do not transport batteries that are cracked or leak.

OPERATING MODES
The laser can be used in 2 diff erent operating modes:
1. Self-leveling mode (default setting):
The device projects the laser beam exactly horizontally or vertically
regardless of its position. The inclination of the unit in this operating
mode may deviate up to 10° from the horizontal or vertical
alignment.
2. Complete manual mode (press button
The device can be tilted as desired. The laser beam is projected at
an appropriate angle.

CLEANING
Wipe the aperture lens and the body of the laser with a clean soft
cloth. Do not use solvents.
Although the laser is dust and dirt resistant to a certain degree,
do not store in dusty places as long term exposure may damage
internal moving parts.
If the laser is exposed to water, dry the laser level before returning it
to the carrying case to prevent corrosion damage.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Leveling Error
The Leveling Indicator LED will fl ash red and the alarm will sound.
Ensure laser is on a level surface. Ensure the laser is in the vertical
orientation. Press the Leveling Mode Button. Power cycle the laser.
If this fails, return the laser to an authorized MILWAUKEE service
center.
Bump alarm too sensitive
Ensure the laser is on a level, and on a stable surface. Try changing
to a less sensitive setting using a paired detector/ receiver. If this
fails, return the laser to an authorized MILWAUKEE service center.
ONE-KEY™ lock out
The laser will turn on briefl y, but shut down after ~15 seconds. The
ONE-KEY™ LED will be fl ashing red. This is an indicator that the
laser is locked out. Use the ONE-KEY™ app to connect and unlock
the tool.
NOTE: If all the recommended trouble shooting fails, power cycle
the the laser with the Power button. Try removing/re-inserting the
battery to restart the tool. If the problem persists, return the laser to
an authorized MILWAUKEE service center.

ACCURACY CHECK
Perform the accuracy check procedure immediately upon unboxing
of each new laser and before exposure to jobsite conditions.
For more detailed information see picture section.
Should any deviation from listed product accuracy be found, please
contact a MILWAUKEE service facility. Failure to do so could result
in rejection of warranty claim.
):
Infl uences on Accuracy
Ambient temperature changes can impact laser accuracy. For
accurate and repeatable results, the described procedures should
be done with the laser off the ground and placed in the center of the
working area.
Mount the laser on the tripod and check the leveling of the tripod.
Abusive treatment of the laser, such as excessive impacts from
drop, can also lead to changes in product accuracy. Therefore, it is
recommended to perform the accuracy check procedure after any
drops or before completing any critical jobs.
NOTE: Extreme temperatures will aff ect laser accuracy.
MAINTENANCE
This laser will require a calibration service after a period of 12
months.
Use only Milwaukee accessories and Milwaukee spare parts. Should
components need to be replaced which have not been described,
please contact one of our Milwaukee service agents (see our list of
guarantee/service addresses).
If needed, an exploded view of the tool can be ordered. Please
state the machine type printed as well as the six-digit No. on
the label and order the drawing at your local service agents or
directly at: Techtronic Industries GmbH, Max-Eyth-Straße 10,
71364 Winnenden, Germany.
