Insbesondere muss die Steckdose, an die der Hochdruckreiniger angeschlossen wird, über eine Erdungsleitung, eine angemessene Sicherung (siehe Wert auf dem Typenschild und die Werte, die in der Tabelle unter technischen Daten angegeben sind) verfügen, und von einem Magnet- Thermo-Differentialschalter mit Empfindlichkeit nicht über 30 mA abgesichert werden.
