Troubleshooting
Before calling your local authorized Service Centre, check the following:
Problem
The dehumidifier does not
switch on
Pilot lamp switched on
The appliance does not
dehumidify
Pilot lamp switched on
The appliance works but the
humidity in the room is not
reduced
Cause
• the appliance is not plugged
in (the main supply pilot
lamp is off)
• the humidistat is set to the
minimum position
• the canister is full
• the canister is not in position
• the filter is dirty
• the temperature or humidity
in the room is too low
• the room is too big
• too many sources of
humidity in the room (e.g.
boiling saucepans, etc.)
Solution
• insert the plug into the
socket
• adjust the humidistat to
the desired position
• empty the canister
• position the canister
correctly
• clean the filter
• In this case a safety
device will intermittently
turn off the equipment. It is
perfectly normal, however,
that under certain
circumstances the
equipment will not
dehumidify.
