40. Exercise caution when cooking
or reheating food with a high
sugar content. If heated for too
long, the sugar may caramelize
or ignite.
41. Do not use this appliance to
reheat food in heat-retaining
bags intended for normal
ovens, such as roasting bags.
Such heat-retaining bags
usually contain a thin layer
of aluminum foil that reflects
microwaves. This reflected
energy could cause the outer
paper covering to become so
hot that it ignites.
42. Do not use the appliance
for deep-frying food. Hot oil
can damage the inside of the
appliance as well as utensils
and result in skin burns. Do not
leave the appliance unattended
when cooking with oils and fats
as these can be a fire hazard if
allowed to overheat.
43. Pierce foods with heavy skins
such as potatoes, squashes,
apples and chestnuts with a
fork before cooking, since they
might explode otherwise.
44. Make sure that the appliance
and all accessories are dry
before connecting it to the
power supply and prior to
installing the accessories.
45. Do not attempt to use this
appliance with the door open.
Never attempt to damage
or disable the door closing
mechanism.
46. Place the appliance on an
even and stable surface able
to hold the combined weight of
the appliance and the heaviest
food likely to be cooked in it.
Electrical safety
1. Ensure the rated voltage shown
on the rating label corresponds
with the voltage of the power
supply.
2. Do not operate any appliance
with a damaged power cord
or plug, when the appliance
malfunctions or has been
damaged in any manner.
3. Protect the power cord against
damages. Do not let it hang
over sharp edges, do not
squeeze or bend it. Do not
to place the appliance on the
power cord. Keep the power
cord away from hot surfaces
and open flames and ensure
that nobody can pull on or trip
over it unintentionally.
4. Do not open the housing under
any circumstances. Do not
insert fingers or foreign objects
in any opening of the appliance
and do not obstruct the air
vents.
5. Protect the appliance against
heat. Do not place close to
open flames or heat sources
such as stoves or heating
appliances.
