of the guide roller. Remove the nozzle (8)
and unscrew the contact tip (9) from the
head of the welding torch.
For pulling the wire along the sleeve, a
button (4) above the pulling mechanism is
provided. Pulling must be finished when
the wire exits the burner hole by 50-100
mm. Put the contact tip and nozzle back
on the burner.
Connection of a hose for the supply
of protective gas
When connecting, the cylinder and re-
ducer must be closed. The gas supply
system, consisting of a gas cylinder, a
reducer and a gas hose must have tight
connections (use screw clamps).
During MIG/MAG welding, shielding gas
must be used to prevent oxidation of the
metal during the welding process. Unal-
loyed and alloyed steels are preferably
welded in an environment of active pro-
tective gas, for example, carbon dioxide
— MAG (metal active gas welding). High-
ly alloyed materials and such materials as
aluminum, magnesium, nickel-based al-

Switching welding modes is performed
by the switch (1) (Fig. 9):
MMA - manual arc welding mode;

with the addition of carbon dioxide;
08/Ar-СО
- semi-automatic welding

mode with the addition of a mixture of
carbon dioxide and argon;
Flux cored - welding mode with flux-coat-
ed wire without gas;
TIG LIFT - argon arc welding with the help
of a special sleeve for igniting a tungsten
electrode by touch.
