Construction and function
Series BCS Q40BBAA-PSICFHC-... sensors operate using
the capacitive Smart-Level measuring principle and are
used for level detection of conductive media.
They detect levels even when there is product build-up
and automatically masks glass and plastic walls of up to
0.5 to 6 mm thickness.
The sensors can be used for many standard applications
ex factory without needing calibration.

Protection from short circuit, voltage reversal, and
polarity reversal

This sensor provides an IO-Link communication interface
which enables direct access to process and diagnostic
data or for configuration of the sensor. An IO-Link master
is required for communication over the IO-Link interface.
Without an IO-Link master the sensor is immediately
usable with a standard switching output in the SIO Mode
(Standard I/O Mode).
The switching output is factory set as a PNP
normally open.
