4. Make sure the cable adjusters are in a middle position before you clamp
the shifter cables at the levers to ensure adjustment range later. Slightly
pull at the cable ends and tighten the cable fastener with an Allen key.
5. Check the shifting function by pushing the levers one at a time.
If proper shifting function is not given, proceed as follows:
5.1 If one lever cannot be pushed through entirely, reduce the cable
tension by loosening the opposite cable adjuster until a well­defined
shifting function is reached.
5.2 If one lever can be pushed through without or with only partial shifting
function, fasten the cable adjuster on the same side. In case the adjuster
doesn't have enough adjustment range, refasten the shifter cables with
a little more tension, as described in step 4.
6. Cut the shifter cables with a minimum 10mm overlap and mount the
wire end caps.
