. Battery voltage should be 14 V at input of set.
Connect one speaker to each AF channel. Connect out-
putmeter (Ri > 100 @) in parallel to a speaker with
4—5 Q impedance at 1000 Hz.
1/2 Watt audio output = 1.7 V at outputmeter.

For AM, use dummy antenna 20/45 pF if no signal gene-
rator with detachable dummy antenna Is available.
Alignment at 1/2 W output per channel.
. Before aligning the FM varicap tuner set 21 V at C53 with
R 756 (AF unit) at right pointer stop and
4 V with
R 97 with 1% turn from left pointer stop.
For FM, connect a VTVM (Ri > 10 M&) to connections
1 and 2 of jack N1 (rear plate).
Alignment at 0.7 V ratio voltage.
Use FM signal generator with ++ 40 kHz minimum de-
viation.
Follow alignment sequence given.
Repeat alignment until no further improvement can be
obtained.
Important for sensitivity measurements!
a. IF measurements via voltage divider 1:50 and series
capacitance 0.047 uF.

rating capacitor of 0.047 uF only is sufficient.
