USE
under benches, trees and in hard-to-reach places. Do not use it for commercial or other purposes.
Switching On/Off
Before switching on the tool, make sure that:
• It is correctly assembled;
• All fuses are properly secured and all bolts and nuts are fully tightened;
• The battery packs are inserted correctly;
• The battery packs are fully charged.
For safety reasons, the tool is equipped with a safety catch to prevent unintentional starting.
To start the tool, first press the safety catch, then press the on/off switch (Fig. L). The tool will start.
As soon as the switch is released, the tool switches off and stops automatically.
Warning: After switching off the trimmer, always wait until the nylon string / cutting blade has
come to a complete stop.
Never use the tool if it can be started by pressing the switch alone without the safety catch. In
this case, contact an authorized service centre. The safety catch is damaged.
Warning: Do not disable the safety catch or attempt to bypass the safety system. Do not at-
tempt to force the switch without first depressing the safety catch.
Reverse
Warning: Before removing the twigs, grass, or weeds caught in the tool that were not removed
by reversing it, turn off the tool and remove the battery. Otherwise, the tool may accidentally
turn on, potentially causing severe injury.
The tool is equipped with a reverse switch, which reverses the rotation direction of the cutting tool.
Reverse mode should only be used to clear twigs, grass, and weeds from the cutting blade / nylon
string.
To run the tool in reverse, first press the reverse switch, then press the on/off switch (Fig. M).
Pressing the reverse switch plays a sound alert, then activates reverse mode.
Release the on/off switch to turn off the reversing tool. Wait for the moving parts to come to a com-
plete stop, then continue mowing in normal (non-reverse) mode.
Note: When switching between forward and reverse mode, always wait for the tool to come to a com-
plete stop to avoid damage to the moving parts.
Electric brake
The tool is equipped with an electric brake system that quickly stops the moving parts when the on/
off switch is released. If the brake fails to engage when the on/off switch is released, bring the tool in
for servicing at an authorized service centre.
Warning: The presence of the electric brake system does not mean the tool can be used with-
out the protective cover. Never use the tool without a securely attached protective cover. Oth-
erwise, severe injury may occur.
Electric smooth start system
The tool is equipped with an electric system that increases rotation speed gradually when starting,
dampening the recoil that would otherwise occur in a hard start and allowing a gradual, soft start.
Proper handling
Warning: The tool is designed for use on the right side of the body. Only use it on this side to
achieve maximum control and reduce risk of severe injury in case of recoil.
Warning: Take good care to keep the tool under control at all times. Prevent the tool from
coming too close to the operator or other persons that may be present in the vicinity. Failing to
control the tool may cause severe injury to the operator or bystanders.
Warning: To avoid accidents, remain at least 15 m away from other tool operators when work-
