User Responsibility
This machine will perform in conformity with the description contained in the instructions provided. This machine
must be checked periodically. Defective equipment (including power cables and service leads) should not be
used. Parts that are broken, missing, plainly worn, distorted or contaminated, should be replaced immediately.
Should such repair become necessary, it is recommended that such repairs are carried out by qualified persons
approved by Elektra Beckum or its representatives. This machine or any of its parts should not be altered or
changed from standard specifications. The user of this machine shall have the sole responsibility for any
malfunction which results from improper use or unauthorized modification from standard specification, faulty
maintenance, damage or improper repair by anyone other than qualified persons approved by Elektra Beckum
or its representatives.
3.0 Commissioning
Important: This machine and its components have been inspected and tested throughout all production stages.
Before it is packed for shipping each machine undergoes a final computerized inspection, a certificate of same
is included with the machine. After receipt please unpack your machine and check for any visible transport
damage. If such damage is evident please notify your supplier immediately.
When connecting to mains power be sure that the power supplied matches the rated voltage of your machine (see
machine label) and that the outlet is properly earthed/grounded.
This machine must be connected to phases 1,2,3 (L1,L2,L3) and the earth/ground terminal. A neutral wire is not
required. Connect this machine only to a properly earthed/grounded three-phase outlet. If a plug matching your
local standard has to be fitted to the power cable, leave this work to a qualified electrician.
For TIG welding pure Argon (99.996% Helium) is used as shielding gas. Connect machine to gas cylinder only
by means of a suitable and approved pressure reducing and regulating device. The maximum input pressure must
not exceed 10 bar/142 psi.
The earth cable for the work piece clamp should have a minimum cross section of 25mm
After setting the ON/OFF switch [1] to ON the machine is operational.
