Insufficient or incorrect maintenance or repairs can lead to disruptions in operation. Regular
maintenance of the units is thus essential. No structural changes or additions may be made
to the units.
5.2
Maintenance table
The maintenance intervals may serve as a guidance by the Company REHM and relate to
normal, standard operation (e. g. 1-shift operation in clean and dry environment). The exact
intervals will be specified by your safety officer.
Task
Cleaning the inside of the unit

Functional testing of safety mechanisms by operating
personnel
Visual inspection of the unit, with special attention to the
torch hoses.
Connection lines and torch hoses checked by
professionals, check should be logged in the relevant log

Entire water cooling unit checked by professionals, check

5.3
Cooling water check
Before operating the water cooling unit, check the water level in the tank. If the water level drops
below ¾ of the tank contents, additional cooling water should be added. In order to ensure the
best-possible of the torch, the supply container must be completely filled. If necessary, refill
coolant. Only use Original Rehm coolant (order No 168 0075).
Coolant is harmful to the environment; do not drain it into the sewage system.
Dispose of these solutions using the correct methods, e.g. at the waste management centres.
If maintenance or repair work were carried out on this unit by people who have not been trained
by REHM and thus are not authorised to carry out such work, your liability and warranty claims
over REHM will be void.
