Connection to AC power supply
— The set is to be connected to a mains voltage of 220 V/50—60 Hz in
accordance with the voltage indicated on the nameplate.
- Ше plug the power cord provided at the rear panel of the set into
jack 26.
— The set can also be connected to the socket of correspondingly
equipped amplifiers.
— Theset carries voltage even when stopped. Itis necessary to unplug
it from the mains outlet to cut power off.
Connection to amplifier
— With the help of the cinch cable supplied connect the Output right
24 connection jack to the jack on the right at the CD input of your
amplifier and connect the Output left 25 connection jack to the jack
on the left at the CD input of your amplifier.
— If no CD input is provided on your amplifier, use another high-level
input (e.g. tape, tuner or aux) for this purpose.
Switching on and off
— Switch the set on with Power 1 button.
— Ifa disc is not inserted, horizontal lines blink on display 6. After a few
seconds the display switches off and the LED in the stop button
lights up.
- [fa disc has already been inserted, first 6 horizontal lines appear in
the display and then the number of songs on this disc and their total
playing time is displayed. After a few seconds the display switches
off and the LED in the Stop button 10 lights up.
Inserting the disc
— Press Open/Close button 3.
— Record compartment is opened out.
— Take compact disc out of the case without touching the surface and
insert it such that the writing faces up.
— Press Open/Close button 3 again.
— Record compartment is retracted.
The display as described in the "switching on and off" section
appears in display 18-23.
— The record compartment
is also retracted after pressing the
r Play/Next 6 or 4 SB 5 button and play of the first or last song is
egun.
— If, in the case of wrongly inserted or noninserted disc, the > Play/
Next 6 or 4 SB 5 button is pressed, the record compartment is
opened out again.
Manual play of the disc
— By means of the > Play/Next 6 button, the songs are manually
started one after the other.
After each repeated pressing of the button, the next song is played.
If a compiled music program is played, the set goes on to the next
programmed song.
— By means of the ld SB 5 button, one can go back to the previous
song.
— Ifthe K SB 5 button is pressed while the set is in the stop position,
playback of the song with the highest song no. is initiated.
Direct selection of a song
— Select desired song with buttons 1-0
17 and start playback with
> Play/Next button 6.
— Select songs 11-19 with O button and then buttons 1-9.
— For songs 20-29 press O button twice and press buttons 1-9.
— For songs 30-39 press O button three and press buttons 1-9.
Up to 99 songs can be played.
— If no disc is inserted, the record compartment is opened out after
approx 5 seconds. After approx. 5 minutes the record compartment
is automatically retracted.
Playing of a desired section (interval play A B)
— During manual play set time mark A to desired place by pressing
AB
button 15.
— A lights up in display, B blinks.
— Set time mark B by pressing A B button 15 again.
— AB
lights up in display.
— The song between the marks A and Bis started by pressing the A B
button 15 again. `
- AB lights up in display.
— If time mark A has been set and B is depressed longer than 5
seconds, the end of the record is automatically set as end mark B.
— When programmed songs are played, the time marks cannot be set.
Er then appears in the display.
Repeat
After pressing of the Repeat 8 button, either the entire disc, the
program selected or time interval A B 15, according to input, is
repeated until the Repeat 8 button is released.
Stop
Press Stop button 10.
Set goes to stop position.
Programming is not cleared.
