L Balance R for adjustment of the volume range ratio of the two
channels to the room conditions, for example, with asymmetric
positioning of loudspeakers (adjustable in 2-dB steps)
(display in Control Display).
-Bass + buttons for bass control (display in Control Display 9).
-Treble + buttons for treble control
(display in (Control Display 9).
Bass and treble controls adjustable for both channels together in
3-dB steps. In O position of the controls, the frequency response
is linear,
Caution: In the case of maximum bass or treble increase and too
high volume, the loudspeakers may be damaged.
Linear button for linear frequency response.
Muting button for muting of amplifier.
Loudness At low volume the bass and treble are boosted and
thus adapted to aural sensitivity.
Preset button for storing (in connection with Memo 20) and
recalling an certain volume and balance as well as tone adjust-
ment.
Connection Side
The connection jacks are set up symmetrically on the right side of the
back panel of the unit for the right channel (right channel) and on the
left side of the back panel for the left channel (left channel).

Connection of Program Sources
~ The connection jacks for the right channel are located, for all
program sources, on the right side of the rear panel of the unit, the
connection jacks for the left channel are on the left side of the rear
panel.
Record Players with Magnetic Pick-Ups
- Connect record players with magnetic pick-up cartridges to the
Phono MM 39 connection jacks
(black or red = right channel, white = left channel).
- Set Phono MM/MC 16 change-over switch to MM position. The
display MM appears in the display.
- The connection wire additionally provided is to be connected to one
of the two ground terminals + 31.
