OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Mod. 639.01 - Ceramic hair straightener with digital control and ioniser
Please read these operating instructions carefully as they include important
information on safety and how to use the equipment.
WARNINGS
• Connect this unit to alternating current and check that the elec-
tricity supply voltage corresponds to that indicated on the
rating plate of the unit.
• Never use this unit in the bath or shower or near a basin fil-
led with water.
• Never immerse this unit in water or other liquids.
• Do not put this unit down where it could fall into water or
other liquids.
• Do not try to pull any electrical appliance out when it has fallen into
water - disconnect the plug from the power socket immediately.
• If the appliance is used in a bathroom, the device must be removed
from the power source after using, because it might be dangerous in
the near of water. Also when the device is switched off.
• Make sure the unit is perfectly dry before using it.
• Prevent the hot surface on the unit from coming into contact with
the face, neck or any other parts of the body. Use the unit, holding it
by the handgrip.
• For additional protection, the installation of a residual current device
(RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is
advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your instal-
ler for advice.
• Allow the metal parts to cool down before touching them.
• Do not put the appliance on heat sensitive surfaces during use.
• After use always switch the unit off and remove the plug from the power
supply socket. Do not pull on the wire to remove the plug from the power
supply socket.
• Do not pull the plug out of the power supply socket when your hands are
wet.
• Always allow the unit to cool before putting it away and never wrap the
cord around the unit. From time to time, check that the cord has not been
damaged.
• Prevent the cord from coming into contact with the metal parts while
these are still hot.
• Use the unit on dry hair.
• Do not use this unit on wigs made with synthetic hair.
