4. Registering with the base station

4.1 General information

All components must be registered with the base station. For the motion transmitter
the following information must be entered:
· Name, was assigned at the planning phase (Section 4, FAZ 3000-Z base station
operating instructions) and should be in the planning sketch.
· Assignment of internal sensor Y/N (yes/no), also in the planning sketch (internal
sensor N = external).
Basically the following is true: With the „extern arm" function the object is monitored
when the house is vacant, i.e. outer skin and internal rooms. Independent of
assignment all sensors trigger alarms.
The "internal activated" function implements outer skin security. Only those sensors
should react that participate in outer skin security, e.g. door/window transmitters.
Internal sensors i.e. sensors for the monitoring of internal rooms do not trigger
alarms when set to "internal activated", e.g. PIR transmitters.
By assigning internal sensor Y/N you can set the response action for each sensor:
internal sensor "yes": Sensor triggers alarm only on „extern arm". Internal sensor
"no": Sensor triggers alarm in every case.
· Closure group Y/N: All sensors that protect external doors (e.g. door/window
transmitter or PIR) should be assigned to the closure group (further information
can be found in the base station operating instructions).
· Sensitivity: The response sensitivity of the PIR-sensors is adjustable. Sensitivity
values of 1 to 4 are available, with 4 being the highest sensitivity. The unit is
factory set to value 3.
4.2 Registration
The base station must first be configured to receive registration of sensors. Please
carry out the following steps:
· Press the "Menu a/A" key (left below), and the following appears
troubles
· Use the "↑" and "↓" keys to select the "Sensors" menu.

· Go to the motion transmitter, the housing of the sensor is open.
· Place three AAA batteries in the correct polarity in the battery holder.
· The sensor transmits a radio signal to establish contact with the base station.
