3.2 Installation of the FAZ 3000-PIR

· The FAZ 3000-PIR is fitted with a wall bracket that allows the following installation
angles: 0° (parallel to wall), -45° and +45°. This allows installation at various an-
gles as well as corner installation.
· Alternatively the FAZ 3000-PIR can be mounted flat on the wall without using the
bracket (0°).
· Installation with wall bracket: Remove the wall bracket from the device (pull out
from bottom of device and unhook) and mark the corresponding drill holes. Fix the
wall bracket with the dowels and screws provided and hang the FAZ 3000-PIR on
the wall bracket.
· Installation without wall bracket: Remove the wall bracket from the device (pull
out from bottom of device and unhook). Wall fixing is via two screws: The
FAZ 3000-PIR is hung on the upper screw using the guide groove of the wall
bracket. The second lower screw is screwed in internally through the screw hole
in the lower part of the housing.
· Mark the drill hole for the upper screw and drill the hole (5 mm). Insert the dowel
and tighten the screw until the gap between the screw head and the wall is about
3 mm.
· Open the housing using your fingernail, a ballpoint pen or a suitable screwdriver,
carefully push in the side securing lugs (left) until the half shells can be separated.
· Hang the FAZ 3000-PIR on the mounted screw. Using a No. 1 cross-head screw-
driver loosen the two screws securing the PCB and lift it up. This allows access to
the lower screw hole from the inside.
· The drill hole (5 mm) can be marked using a using a ballpoint pen refill. Remove the
FAZ 3000-PIR from the wall and drill the hole. Insert the dowel, re-hang the
FAZ 3000-PIR on the wall and secure by screwing in the second screw from the
inside.
· Reposition the PCB to the centre and screw in the PCB securing screws.
· The batteries are not inserted at this point, the housing remains open.
