9.5 Exchanging the flaps on the
lifting eye
If the flaps or parts thereof are damaged or missing, they may
be replaced as follows:
• Use a pin punch and hammer to knock out the pin of the
flap.
• Remove the flap and also the spring if it shows signs of
damage.
• Insert a new spring and flap.
• Carefully knock in the pin. Always make sure that the pin is
knocked in far enough so that it has the same distance from
the opening on both sides. It is not enough for the pin to be
flush with the attachment mechanism!
9.6 Exchanging the battery unit
If the battery unit or parts thereof are defective, do not try to
open and/or repair the battery. The battery unit must always be
exchanged in one piece. To do this, follow the steps outlined in
chapter 5.1, „Installing the battery".
Always dispose of damaged or defective batteries in
accordance with local regulations.
9.7 Exchanging the battery in the
levo remote radio control
If the „battery weak" symbol lights up on the levo remote radio
control, the battery must be replaced.
To do this, open the cover of the levo remote by pressing on
1
the area below the bracket
. The cover may now be removed
2
and the battery is visible. Remove the battery from the
3
holder
and replace it with a new battery (button cell type
CR2032, 3V). When you have finished, gently press down the
cover on the casing of the radio control unit (fig. 20).

9.8 Exchanging the fuse of the
multi-adapter
The multi-adapter comes with a 10 A micro-fuse (slow) that is safe
and easy to exchange by the user. Disconnect the
multi-adapter from the mains.
The fuse holder is located on
the side next to the connector
(fig. 21, marked red). Use a
flat-headed screwdriver to turn
the fuse holder by 90° and pull it
out carefully.
Exchange the fuse and put the
fuse holder back into place.
Never attempt to perform other types of
repairs on the multi-adapter! Never attempt to
open the device!
9.9 Regular inspections and repairs
Please note that, if the battery is shipped, it is
classified as a hazardous goods shipment
and specific conditions will have to be
complied with.
Shipment is carried out at the user's own risk. Please note
that used batteries must not be air-shipped! We generally
recommend sending in the pewag levo hook LH for repairs
without the battery to make shipment easier.
The product must be inspected, tested, checked and repaired
as appropriate at least once a year (consult manufacturer's
information and country-specific regulations for the regular
inspection of lifting devices!) or, in case of any damage, by
pewag austria GmbH or an authorised dealer.
