Maintenance/Cleaning/Fuse Replacement

6.1 Cleaning

If the instrument is dirty after daily usage, it is advised to
clean it by using a humid cloth and a mild household
detergent.
Prior to cleaning, ensure that instrumrnt is switched
off and disconnected from external voltage supply
and any other instruments connected.
Never use acid detergents or dissolvants for
cleaning.
Do not use instrument until complete drying.

6.2 Calibration Interval

The instrument has to be periodically calibrated by our
service department in order to ensure the specified accuracy
of measurement results. We recommend a calibration
interval of two years.

6.3 Fuse Replacement

Only operations with respect to maintenance work
or spare part replacement in accordance with the
instruction manual and in compliance with the
safety references may be realised.
The operational safety is no longer ensured when
modifying or changing the instrument.
Prior to fuse replacement, ensure that the power
asupply is disconnected from external voltage
supply and the other connected instruments (such
as load, control instruments, etc.).
Exclusively use fuses of voltage and current values
in compliance with the technical data section. Using
auxiliary fuses, in particular short-circuiting fuse
holders is prohibited and can cause instrument
destruction or serious bodily injury of operator.

6.3.1 Replacing Mains Fuses (F1)

The fuse for the DC output is in the lower fuseholder
and the fuse for the constant voltage is in the upper
fuseholder.
• Disconnect Power Supply from all live current circuits.
• Loosen the fuse holder on the instrument rear.
• Remove defect fuses (F1) from fuse holder.
• Insert new fuses mentioned in the section Technical
Data and relock fuse holder
Spare Fuse:
1,6 A time lag / 250 V, 5 x 20 mm · Cat.No. ES1600MAT
6.3.2 Internal Fuses (F2)
The power supply transformer is protected with additional,
internal fuses. When using the instrument in compliance
with the prescriptions, the fuses will not destroy. However,
should the fuses be destroyed in the event of error, the
power supply has to be returned to the factory for repair.
