Pin assignment of the 9-pole subminiature jack on
instrument rear with view to the "plug-side":
Pin 1: Voltage Control Input
0...+10 V DC corresponds with 0...100 % of output voltage.
For voltage control, a current value must be preset at the
same time.
Pin 2: Ground
Ground for both control inputs and remote signal.
This ground is connected galvanically with the
positive output of the power supply!
Pin 3: REMOTE Input
TTL Input for switching internal/external control, turns off
the front panel elements.

+3...+5 V external controlling
Pin 4: not connected
Pin 5: not connected
Pin 6: Current Control Input
0...+10 V DC corresponds with 0...100 % of output current.
For controlling current, a voltage value (voltage control
input) must be preset at Pin 1. (i.e. with voltage divider) as
an open input corresponds with an output voltage of 0V.
Pin 8
+12V
10V = 100%
Pin 2
Pin 7: not connected
Pin 8: Auxiliary voltage +12 V
The internal operating voltage has been output and can be
used, for example, for voltage setting during current
control.
Maximum load: 50 mA, not short-circuit protected!

6.0 Maintenance
When using the instrument in compliance with the
instruction manual, no special maintenance is required.
Should operational problems occur during daily use, our
consulting service – phone +49 (0) 76 84 / 907 - 0 – will be
at your disposal, free of charge. If functional errors occur
after expiration of warranty, our after sales service will
repair your instrument without delay.

Usage/Maintenance

the "REMOTE"-Signal has to be present from +3...+5 V
at Pin 3 (against Pin 2). After this procedure, the
operating elements on the front panel are switched off
and output current and voltage can be controlled via
the analogue control voltage from now on. Output
voltage and output current are proportional to the
control voltage present.
When maximum input voltage range of control
inputs is exceeded, the control voltage is limited
internally to 10.3 V approx. The limit display is
realized via the red LED on the back panel.The
control inputs are protected against excessive
control up to max. +30 V and polarity inversion up
to -15 V.
This ground (Pin 2) is connected galvanically with
the positive output "+Va" of the power supply!
Should voltage and current set potentiometers be
changed mistake during analogue control input
operation, the output values remain unchanged.
When switching back to manual mode, the output
voltage can jump from a low preset value via control
input to a higher value, manually preset. During this
process, the connected load could be destroyed!
Therefore, both set potentiometers should be set to
maximum left travel (minimum value) via control
input.
The connecting lines of inputs and outputs may not
exceed a total length of 3 m.
